Michele Alford, Co-founder and Artistic Director of the Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale, received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton and her Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Music Education Research from Temple University in Philadelphia.  She also holds Kodaly Certification from Westminster Choir College and Orff-Schulwerk Certification from SUNY at Potsdam and St. Thomas University in Minnesota. Ms. Alford currently is a vocal music teacher at Hopewell Elementary School, children's choir director at The Pennington Presbyterian Church and was Musicianship Training Instructor for Albemarle, a summer music program at The American Boychoir School.

William Alford, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College and his Master of Music degree in Music Education from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Alford is the Chair of the Arts Department and music teacher at The Pennington School where he directs two award-winning choirs and has instituted advanced placement music theory classes and a college-level course in music history.  Mr. Alford is also the Director of Music at The Pennington Presbyterian Church.

Preparatory Choir: For boys and girls in grades 3 through 5.  This choir will meet on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.  Concert performances will be held in January and June and could include additional singing engagements in the community.

Concert Choir: For boys and girls in grades 6 through 9.  This choir will meet on Tuesdays from 7:15 - 8:45 pm.  Concert performances will be held in January and June and will include various community singing engagements as well as a possible summer concert tour.
